The Steam Saint John’s Flyer
AMRA Model Railways
Hello all,
Welcome to another AMRA model railway video. Today we take a rare turn and go British for this video with one of the veterans of my fleet taking the helm of the train.
This video captures the operation of the Saint John’s Flyer, a partial express service of an 11-carriage train from Lloydhurst to Saint John, this time taken by two LMS steam locomotives. These locomotives are a Hornby Stanier class 8F and Bachmann Johnson class 3F.
We capture the service throughout their whole trip, including the two stops at Gorfield and Morehouse.
At Gorfield, the front two carriages are removed so they can be taken down the branch to Ebinger.
Check out this playlist for more AMRA videos:
Two cameras were used in this video, which is why the focus drops out quite a bit with the use of one of the cameras.
This video was taken from the backlog. Due to COVID-19, I haven’t resumed attending the club since the earlier implementation of social restrictions. As of November, 2019, filming has been avoided during the majority of sessions at AMRA.
