The beginning of a new series; Back To Basics – Building A Model Railroad
In a new house with a one car garage for my new layout seemed very easy. The only problem, I had a previous layout that I have to store before getting started in the new space.
Here is the story of what I’m doing to prepare for the new layout, one step at a time. This may be of help for those that have to remove years of clutter in a basement, spare room, or garage.
Since I just moved into a new place, I had to get the garage ready by removing old shelving and paint the walls even before I moved my old model railroad into the space. I may show a little of that in one of the videos in this series. Moving is a lot of work even when you think you got rid of most of the clutter. Believe me, we’re still finding items we no longer want or need in the new house.
