In my previous video, I made a very simple model train layout around my raised bed garden… and using three different trains, I somehow managed to stretch it in to a 12 minute video!
Today, the layout gets a lot more interesting as I add a second, much larger loop… taking the trains on a longer trip, through more of my garden… Including a little loop around a water feature…
A little test pond I made to try out the idea of perhaps building a bigger, permanent pond someday. It has worked out so well that I’ve decided to go ahead with the idea, and build a large, permanent pond in to my yard… sometime later this year.
The main focus of this video is a Piko G-scale locomotive modeled after a steam train from the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. This AT&SF locomotive and tender were one of the first trains I bought when I first got in to G scale trains back in 2015.

I’d also love to have you leave a comment about the video. I read all the comments, and enjoy the feedback. Let me know if you think I should expand this layout even more in my next model train video.
