This Bachmann-brand G-scale train set was given to me by my brother-in-law. It used to run around the Christmas tree at his house, when his kids were young. He hadn’t used it in years, so he decided to give it to me to run on my layout with my large collection of G scale trains.
He actually won this train set many years ago in a drawing at a store that sells Valvoline motor oil. The train set features a Valvoline tank car. I added a few additional cars for the steam engine to pull around my layout, and it handled them with no problem.
