The day has finally come, I’m building the final module for the modular model railway… well for now at least! As the first exhibition for the layout looms every closer, it’s a race against the clock to make sure I can finish the module in time for the show.
This module is particularly important as it forms the scenic break where the track passes through the backscene and into the fiddle yard. To hide the trains from view as they disappear, I’ve decided that the railway will run through a cutting, allowing the scenery to rise up around the railway before it dives under a road bridge.
