Here is a quick step by step guide on making homemade static grass tufts. These work great when placing them on your layout and add those fine details the make a railroad truly come to life.
They are very easy to make, you can make hundreds of tufts in just minutes once you’re set up!
The grass tuft I demonstrate are best suited to HO scale, however the method can easily be adapted to any other modelling scale.
Stay tunes for more videos to come in the near future and as always if you haven’t already but please subscribe, like or comment. It keeps me motivated to know my videos are reaching the people who really want to watch them.
If you’re curious I used a Panasonic Lumix G6 to film this video and used a Lumix 14 – 42mm lens as well as an Olympus 40 – 150mm lens. For the extreme close ups I used the Raynox DCR-250 adaptor paired with the Olympus lens.
Happy Railroading
Cheers, Luke.
