One of the nice things about running on the CIRC when there isn’t the State Fair Show going on, and not a lot of people running, I was able to explore the layout a little more than usual. Like in the opening scene of this video with the street running shot. This was the first time I’ve ever ran, or even filmed a train on this part of the layout in the first time I was here in early August of 2016.
Always have enjoyed street running since it wasn’t ever anything I grew up with. Seeing a train moving down the middle of a street with city buildings on both sides to me is fascinating. Something so large moving through such confined quarters with traffic on both sides. Seems almost like a wreck waiting to happen. 😀
Since the KCE/CIRC consist was still on the layout from the day before, and me wanting to see the KCE GE rolling down the street, this was the first shot I did Sunday morning before CSX takes over this train. And yes, I had to get the CSX street running too, which will be in part two next Sunday.
Yes, part two. I figured I’d wrap things up in one video, however that ended up being a 24 plus minute video. Not interested in those render and upload times. So I split this into two and next Sunday we’ll end the CIRC series for 2020. But then… we’re off to Nebraska! That series will be starting soon after, with both N and HO scales, plus a bit of the train show.
That’s all for now, hope you enjoyed, and we’ll be back next week.
Thanks for watching!
