Showcased here is one of Hornby Trains newest models (R3514), based on the Hitachi Class 800 for Great Western Railway in the UK. Although a very striking model to look at, it has not come without fault. Upon delivery runs, some of the bogies were done up too tightly, causing the coach to derail. A temporary fix was applied, in which allowed a more axle rotation. The Victorian Branch of AMRA- (Australian Model Railway Association) where this film was made is holding their annual model railway exhibition at Caulfield Racecourse. Either this model, or a Bachmann 221 Super Voyager will be showcased at one of the layouts at the exhibition. The layout in question is shown in the extra video, (link posted above).
