I explain how I made some 2’x4′ and 5’x6′ module sections for James Wright’s (JLWII2000) layout. I don’t show every step but I do go through what I did to put it together and the parts I used.
Parts used 2’x4′ module:
2 – 1″x4″x8′ Quality wood
1 – 2’x4′ 1/4″ plywood (ACX or BCX)
8 – 1-1/2″ drywall screws for connecting outside frame corners.
8 – 1-1/2″ #8 wood screws for mounting the 2 center bracing studs
16 – 1″ #8 screws to mount the plywood to the frame
For a larger module do the same concept of construction but with an evenly spaced sets of stringers and bracing to screw the top down to. Making it flush and level all around.
