How To Make an HO Scale Model Railroad House Tutorial |?
You can download plans at g
This quick video tutorial reveals the basics of constructing an HO scale house from a downloaded plan by using recycled cardboard. Model railroaders and model makers can select the adhesive of their choice for gluing the colored “photo-like” plan to the cardboard. Popular options include: spray adhesive, and clear adhesive in a tube. A very good choice is a product called “Mod Podge” which can be used as not only a quick-drying adhesive but also as an excellent sealant that can be applied to the completed HO scale model house model (plans can also be downloaded and printed to OO scale and N scale). Super Glue is recommended for joining small and/or fiddly parts.
The assembled house plans produce a realistic style scale model house that can be positioned alongside other scale model houses to form a street scene for model railroad layouts. Complete the scenery with some roading, a sidewalk, some miniature trees, and shrubs, and you are on your way to creating a wonderful scene or diorama.
The completed HO scale house is similar in style to many residential houses constructed in various countries around the world in the 1950s and 1960s. Houses like this where are a common feature in Australia and New Zealand to name a couple.
