Here are a couple things to go over that I would like to share that either wasn’t said in the video or to make things more clear:
You CAN install Kadee whisker couplers in the ScaleTrain Tier 4 GEVOs with no issues and no modifications needed. I have 3 of the ScaleTrains Tier 4 GEVOs and I have installed some #156s and #158s with no issues. The first run of SD40-2s had issues with installing Kadees which is why I am addressing this with their Tier 4s in this video.
The ScaleTrains version is heavier than the Intermountain version by a good 1.2 ounces or 35 grams. Intermountain version is 15 ounces/708 grams and the ScaleTrains version is at 26.2 ounces/743 grams.
