In this video we see various model trains at Gorfield, a station on the Stonnington Valley Railway which is a permanent HO scale layout at the Australian Model Railway Association’s Victorian branch in Glen Iris.
Filmed during a general DC operating session, we mostly see Australian freight trains including some hauled by UGL Rail C44aci’s from various operators including Pacific National, Aurizon, CFCLA and more, some Pacific National NR Classes, and some SCT & LDP Class locomotives.
We also see a couple of V/Line A Class locomotives hauling various passenger and freight trains, a V/Line Sprinter DMU, a NSW Trainlink V Set, and some American passenger and freight trains.
Gorfield is a major station on the layout, being a main crossing loop on the main line as well as serving as the junction for the branch line to Ebinger. The station name & model is based off Caulfield station in Melbourne, a busy station that serves as the junction for the Cranbourne/Pakenham lines and the Frankston line.
