On December 30th, 2021, I went out to Greeley to visit the Colorado Model Railroad Museum and see what I could catch. I ended up only getting one decent catch and nearly missing a local. I spent most of my time at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum, filming on the realistic layout. Some notable things that ran on the layout were UP 4014, a pair of ex-BN SD60Ms, a BNSF ES44AC leading two ATSF Kodachrome Dash-7s, and while I didn’t catch it on camera, UP 3985 and 1989 leading a train. It was a very nice experience!
Side note, later the day I recorded all of these clips (and even during), the huge and devastating Marshall Fire would destroy half of Louisville and Superior, which were 50 miles away. I could see the smoke later. Prayers out to all the victims of the fire.
