At the Vermont & Essex Model Railway Club in Montreal we see a VIA Rail long passenger train rounds the curve at the paper mill complex
Rolling stock is Rapido Trains module of MLW FP4 locomotives with a FP4 cables B unit trailing and the third engine is actually a generator car that provides only steam heat and electricity to the passenger cars
The passenger cars are a mix of ex CN and CP with the CN cars being the solid blue Canadian Car &Foundry CCF light weight coaches and baggage car. The ex CP passenger cars are the Budd built stainless steel dome cars, with the end car having the rounded observation section as well. The train represented what VIA RAIL used on their Atlantic Canada long distance trains like the Montreal to Halifax Ocean or the Montreal to St John Atlantic Limited.
The train is seen making the sweeping curve at the large paper mill complex on the group’s modern era Layout.
