Here’s a look at ny modest collection of Montana Rail Limk Locomotives and cabooses. Here you see an all EMD group of second generation diesel engines brought second hand or more to a small regional that grew from spin off in the mid 1980s to a solid class 2 railroad today.
Atlas made the N Scale ex N&W SD35 high hoods, some of the first N scale models in mass production with painted handrails and modern knu ckle couplers.
Intermountain Railroad Company makes the SD45-2 models which have their stripe at 69° angles. Lastly the F45 is made by Athearn, and painted in the turn of the century Washington Central merger colors.
The MRL cabooses are pretty much in the spirit of what the railroad used, made by International Railcar in the 60s for Northern Pacific and later inherited from Burlington Northern. The models are made by Atlas.
