It’s time to create some grimy/filthy track work leading from the turntable to the sheds.
I’ve mixed grey ballast with cinders and added some black weathering powder for good measure! I was initially worried that the weathering powder might wash away but it appears ok! Once it was all laid and fixed in place with a PVA/Water mix I added some grime (Rail Match Roof Dirt) to the tracks and also some greenery in areas.
I can tell the weather is changing – it took 3 days for the ballast to set!
