Tanningcote is a fictitious town somewhere in the middle of England, and is somewhere on the Midland Railway. It is some time in the summer, at some time in the past, maybe in the early 1960s. The busy little industrial town is going about its business as we take a look around and see what is happening.
Built on an 8 foot by 4 foot (2.4m x 1.2m) ply sheet and DC control, it is a work in progress that keeps us out of trouble when it needs to. It all started a few Christmases ago when my Dad gave my old model trains to my son for Christmas. Since then I’ve been the Minister for Finance. I like the detailing of models more than the going around in circles. I would like to do a lot more, like learning to weather things properly and maybe even adding DCC.
I’ve never made a video before and I couldn’t bring myself to narrate it. Apologies in advance for some of the crudeness.
