One year later, part two is here!
I hate that every time I upload a video, I always say something along the lines of, “I’m back!” or “It’s been awhile.” Well, I’ve moved back home and am working primarily at night, so I’m saying a little prayer that I’m able to upload videos regularly and that part three won’t take nearly as long as to complete!
This story has been in the works for two years now. After seeing the season 18 episode, “Toad’s Adventure,” I immediately banged out a script, which varies quite a bit from the final product you see here. I have five different versions of this story on file, so no wonder!
I’ve filmed this episode three different times in the past year. Original footage of Boor’s introduction and the hill scene can be seen in my “Thomas the Quarry Engine” and “Toad’s Adventure” videos (links are below). The first time I re-filmed the episode (which I didn’t re-film in full) was due to script changes, and the third time was because I just couldn’t stand the quality of my camcorder, so I bought a new one. There are many, many upsides to the new camcorder, but because it’s much bigger than my previous one, I can’t get very low for ground-level shots. Ah well, not a huge deal.
The main reason I haven’t been able to get this up very quickly is my career. In these last two years, I attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC to acquire my conservatory certificate in dance theatre and went on to perform professionally on Broadway, off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally as a dancer/singer/actor. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that theatre is not my love, and I’ve moved back home and, with my brother and sister, started my own dancing/singing troupe. I am SO MUCH HAPPIER at home, and now I’m able to spend my free time working on models and videos – YAY!
Finally, I must share my deepest thanks and gratitude with my fellow voice actors, loyal subscribers, and new viewers. I’ve been asked countless times when part two would be released, and thank God, she’s finally here. Enjoy, my friends!
*Side note: Please disregard some of the animation flubs. I will try to fine-tune them next time.
