Thomas the tank engine, plus his friends Annie & Clarabel, come to their new home in California and explore the kingdom of their new owner.
These toy trains are made by Bachmann Industries and feature real steam train sounds. Thomas’ eyes actually roll from left to right as he travels down the tracks. The Bachman item numbers of these model trains are:
Thomas The Tank Engine: Model # 91401
Annie the coach: Model # 97001
Clarabel the coach: Model # 97002
Please note that these items are sold individually, not as one model train set. In addition to the trains, you need track and a control system to make it work.
These model train videos are extremely expensive to make. The model train equipment you see in this video cost in excess of $4000 and I’m sure my entire collection cost in excess of $15,000. As an example, each foot of track cost about $7. The cost of the cameras and production equipment is another factor. If you enjoyed this video, please consider becoming a patron of this channel to help fund the addition of even more model train equipment for future videos. Even a commitment of just $1 per month will help, if enough viewers participate. For more information on becoming a patron, go to m
This train layout, spanning the entire house, garage, and a portion of the yard, operates using DCC (digital) so that up to five different locomotives can run on the layout at the same time. An app allows control of the entire system on an Android phone or tablet, as well as on an iPad or iPhone.
In the video, there’s a brief cameo by my wife, Kellyn. (Her name rhymes with Helen, by the way.) It took her exactly one attempt to do a perfect eye-roll reaction to my stupid joke in the video. (She has had much practice over the years.)
